SANDBOX

HAPPY NEW YEAR!!! Time flies really fast. I can't believe it's already 2015!!! So much has happened for the last 365 days but today, as I start blogging again, let me post pictures from my visit to the newest adventure site in Porac, Pampanga - the SANDBOX.

I was finally able to come and try some of the activities especially the much talked about Giant Swing. My cousins and I went last December 30, 2014. It was fun except to some stuff that needs improvement. Now, you can take a peek on what to do at Sandbox.

That's me and my cousin up in the Giant Swing.

These pictures are from the Aerial Walk. My body hurts the next day.
Top pictures are from the Aerial Walk. Left bottom is the roller coaster zip line. Right bottom is me trying the wall climbing.

Here are some tips when you go to Sandbox:

1. Bring water. Not that it's expensive to buy inside Sandbox but you can save money if you bring your own.

2. Bring food. Actually, people aren't allowed to bring food and drinks inside but you might as well bring your won food and leave it in your car. Foods sold inside Sandbox is limited.

3. Be patient. There will be really long lines especially at the Giant Swing and Zip Line and it will take so much patience to wait for your turn.

4. Bring an umbrella and sunblock.

5. Don't bring to much stuff in your bag because you will have to leave it with the guard when you try the activities.

6. Come to the venue before they open which is at 9:00 AM. Purchasing of ticket also takes time due to long line.

7. Make sure you try the Giant Swing. It's the best there!

8. Follow rules and regulations for your own safety.

9. Have fun and enjoy!

Easter Sunday 2013

I spent Easter Sunday at a beach here in Bataan with a friend who came here and relatives. I already forgot when was the last time I went to a beach here in our province that I also forgot we actually have really nice beaches here. My friend, Donna, whom I met at McDonald's Wilson spent 2 nights here. She wasn't able to go to Bicol so I invited her. Aaaah! I missed my uber cute friend! :) My niece, Bella, also enjoyed playing under the sun. She loved the water and sand!

Day Tour at Las Casas Filipinas de Acuzar

It is located at Bagac, Bataan and known for its beautifully restored old houses from different places in the Philippines. While the old houses are really interesting as well as their desire to live the tradition and culture in our country, I think it's overrated. Service is inefficient. They lack restaurants. We went there this morning and wanted to have lunch but their buffet is ridiculously priced Php750 pesos when there weren't much varieties of food to offer. Their Italian restaurant is packed because of limited seats and by the time we finished the tour, the restaurant was already closed. My uncle wanted to order coffee but it was out of stock. Seriously, they accommodate guests for overnight and day tout but they do not have enough food and beverages to offer. Oh, soda in can costs freaking Php55.00. Their kalesa (horse carriage) is only one and the horse would take a break from walking once in a while that will make the guests wait. I heard if you check in in one of the houses, it costs Php20,000 per night. Wow. That amount could give 3 day vacation in either Cebu, Bicol or Cagayan de Oro. I really think they need improvement on service and facilities.

Take a peek though on some of our pictures. My niece, Bella, seemed to enjoy the day tour.

Weekend at Bataan

My office mates finally had our weekend get away at my home town - Bataan last September 15, 2012. It has been planned for month and although not everyone were able to join, the eight of us had so much fun. The rainy weather didn't stop us from having fun. It was a good thing that by the time we were going to Mt. Samat, the sun came out. We rented my aunt's private resort (at a very cheap price), I prepared lots of food for them, we went swimming, had couple of drinks and visited the Mt. Samat.

Hot Air Balloon Festival 2012

February 11, 2012 -- My friends and I together with my friend's 2 sisters and cousin, we went to the 17th Philippine International Hot Air Balloon Festival in Clark Airfield, Angeles, Pampanga. We arrived there last Friday afternoon and spent the night at Fontana. How I love overnights with my friends. It's so relaxing. Then on Saturday, we woke up as early as 4:00 AM to get ready for the event. It started at 5:30 AM. There we saw around 25 hot air balloons flying through the sky, It was so beautiful. In the afternoon, we spent our time taking pictures at the Army's vehicles and vintage bicycles, watching sky divers jumped from the helicopter, fire drift and rescue demonstration and we waited for the night glow until the evening. It was so windy though that the night glow wasn't pushed through. Nevertheless, it was great to have been able to spend time with my friends. :)

Tagaytay!

Me and my friends went to Tagaytay for one day to eat and relax. Also joined is Jen's older sister who gladly agreed to drive. :) We had lunch at Leslie's, foot spa and massage at Sonya's Garden and early dinner at Amoroma for some Italian food.

It's just so fun being with them. Next for this year is our annual summer trip!
